Municpal by-laws are regulations approved by Council to safeguard and protect persons and properties.
Section 180 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA) states that a council may only exercise power thorugh bylaws or resolutions.
Passing a by-law involves certain legal procedures.
- Review by Council;
- Publicity (where required);
- Hearing (where required);
- Three readings, and;
