A joint public hearing for bylaws 17.20 (Municipal Development Plan) and 16.20 (Land Use Bylaw) will be held in the Town of Drumheller Council Chambers, at 224 Centre Street, Drumheller, Alberta on October 26th, 2020 commencing at 5:30pm. Council will hear from any person claiming to be affected by the proposed bylaws. The joint public hearing can also be viewed electronically through the following link:

In light of COVID-19, in order to protect the health safety and well being of the public and our employees, the Town of Drumheller is providing three methods for participation:

  • 1.In person. If you wish to make a verbal presentation in person you will need to register by 4:00 p.m. October 22, 2020 by contacting Denise Lines at 403-820-2419 or by email at You will be given a time slot to make a presentation to council. If you attend the hearing in person without pre-registering, you may be required to wait in a queuing area until space is available in council chambers to ensure adequate social distancing.
  • 2.By phone.If you wish to make a verbal presentation but do not want to attend in person, an electronic appointment by phone can be made. You will need to register in advance by 4:00 p.m. October 22, 2020 by contacting Denise Lines at 403-820-2419 or by email at Please provide a phone number where you can be reached and a time slot will be given to you to make an oral presentation to council.
  • 3.Written.Participation in the public hearing portion of the meeting can be done through written submissions via email at Written Submissions must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. October 22, 2020. Submissions will be read out by staff and must be able to be read within the five minute time limit. Submissions may also be mailed or dropped off at the Town of Drumheller office in advance of the Public Hearing.
