Town of Drumheller ratifies four year agreement with Inside Workers, CUPE Local 4604



​August 20 2019

 Council ratified the Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 4604 at the Council meeting on Monday August 19, 2019.

The term of the agreement is for four years, expiring December 31, 2022 and includes the following increases:

1.0% on January 1, 2019

0.65% on July 1, 2019

0.50% Market Adjustment September 1, 2019

1.0% on January 1, 2020

0.50% Market Adjustment January 1, 2020

0.75% on July 1, 2020

2.0% on January 1, 2021

2.5% on January 1, 2022

Mayor Heather Colberg stated "Council recognizes the important contribution our inside workers make to our organization and thanks both bargaining teams for their hard work on creating this agreement. We are happy that this agreement supports both the employees and taxpayer."

"We are pleased to have reached a 4-year agreement with CUPE 4604 members. The negotiated outcomes provide for; fair and continued recognition of employees; fiscal responsibility for ratepayers and budget stability for the organization. Bargaining outcomes include the updating of a number of Articles within the agreement to align with recent legislative changes, modernize the language used and eliminate any ambiguity.
